Yishun is home to many delicacies. 925 Chicken Rice is popular among chicken rice lovers. There is also the famous 928 eatery that sells Laksa and a coffee shop that sells delicious popiahs and desserts.
Chong Pang Market is situated nearby. There are many delicacies there too. The Duck Rice, Satay and Ngor Hiang are popular dishes. Be prepared to be kept waiting as there is usually a long queue. Nearby, you will find the famous Chong Pang Nasi Lemak.
Holy Cow Creamery is located at Yishun as well. They offer dishes with the taste of Thailand and Arnolds Chicken. Many have named it the best fried chicken they’ve ever eaten.

Numerous beautiful places for a date.
Pokemon Go fans will remember the Yishun Neighbourhood Park, Nee Soon Central Community Park and Yishun Pond Park. Since the Pokemon hype has died down, there are no longer rowdy crowds in the area. The parks now offer a tranquil and peaceful place for a date
Besides parks, there are water catchment areas too! Lower Seletar Reservoir or Yishun Dam are some good places to escape the crowd in the heartlands.

People working on fitness can go for a jog at the parks or the Yishun Sports Hall. For swimmers, there is the Yishun Swimming Complex located near Khatib MRT.

The MRT Station that wasn’t built.
Do you know the reason behind the long train ride between Khatib and Yio Chu Kang MRT station? Apparently, there was a proposal of having Disneyland built along with a station, supposedly named “Lentor”. What a waste to have this proposal rejected right?
