Everyone has their sweet spot when it comes to finding their favourite study spot. Whether you’re cramming for your finals or just need a quiet place to focus, having a spot with wifi and a handy power plug is a must!

So in this article, we will be listing down the best study spots around Singapore!

North-East Study Spot: Punggol Library

To my North-East Buddies, Punggol Library has to be one of the best places to study! Located at Punggol One, the newly renovated library is the biggest public library in Singapore.

With 5 storeys to explore and a designated study floor at level 3, you can easily find a conducive study spot for you to mug all day!

Do note that you would need to book a spot before heading down, so remember to download the NLB app to book your spot!

Last thing to share, there is plenty of food right beside the library, including a hawker centre and Subway, so if you get hungry halfway through your study session, you can grab a quick bite nearby!

Address: Punggol One, 1 Punggol Drive One, #01-12, 828629

Opening Hours: Mon-Sun | 10 am – 9 pm

Central Study Spot: National Library

For those who love to study with a view, the National Library is the place for you! With designated study spots from levels 7 to 9 of the Lee Kong Chian Library, there will be plenty of seats for you to choose from!

Speaking of ‘with a view’, the National Library gives you a beautiful landscape view of the entire Bugis district! But I must warn you that you can get easily distracted by the view!

Side note: there is also a cafe located on the 3rd floor! No food or drinks are allowed in the study room, so grab your bites here if needed before heading up!

Address: 100 Victoria St., Singapore, 188064

Opening Hours: Mon-Sun | 10 am – 9 pm

West Study Spot: Suzuki Roastery and Dewgather Coffee House

This is special—a cafe in the west that also has power plugs for you to study! Hidden in Boon Lay, this cafe specialises in roasting its own beans!

Other than beans, this cafe is away from the busy and crowded district areas, and it’s aesthetically pleasing and quiet, so it does give you those Zen vibes.

Another study spot in the West is Dewgather Coffee House. Located at The Star Vista, it is conveniently located near Buona Vista MRT and provides a conducive environment for students to study!

They also provide power plugs for those who need to juice up their devices, so no worries about your hours of mugging without a battery in your devices!

When it comes to grabbing a quick bite, I mean… you’re in a cafe. So grab yourself a cup of coffee or their mains! They have a wide range of dishes, so feel free to see what you’re craving!

Suzuki Roastery Address: 8 Chin Bee Ave, Singapore 619932

Opening Hours: Tue-Sun | 8.30 am – 5 pm

Dewgather Coffee House Address: The Star Vista, 1 Vista Exchange Green, #01-46, Singapore 138617

Opening Hours: Mon-Sat | 8 am – 9.30 pm, Sun | 7.30 am – 9.30 pm

North Study Spot: Yishun Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre

If you’re looking for a proper space that does not require booking, buying a coffee, free wifi or a power plug, then this is the ultimate heaven of a study spot for you!

This Youth Centre provides a conducive environment for you to study, together with necessities like water coolers and a clean toilet!

If you’re hungry, there are two cafes in the centre that you can try too! Both cafes show an amazing scenic view of the waterfront lake! Don’t worry, the free study spot will block your view if you’re easily distracted!

Address: 30A Yishun Central 1, Singapore 768796

Opening Hours: Mon-Sun, 10 a.m.–10 p.m.

East Study Spot: Our Tampines Hub

A place for the midnight study muggers, Our Tampines Hub showcases a 24/7 free bench and power plug for you to study! With benches scattered from basement 1 to level 5, you will never need to fight for a bench in here!

Not only are there benches around the area, but the regional library is also located in our Tampines Hub! So for a more quiet and conducive environment, you can also book a spot to study in the library!

You will never go hungry here, with so many food options around Our Tampines Hub, you will find something that will cater to your taste buds!

Address: 1 Tampines Walk, Singapore 528523

Opening Hours: Opens 24/7 | Varies to different stores

The Ultimate Study Spot: Spatial Collective

WiFi, a monitor, a charging port, free snacks and drinks, and even a standing desk. Can you imagine all of these for just $2.20/hour?!

Although you do have to pay for this, if you are someone who needs an extra monitor to do your work or a workspace for you to mug all night, this place has all those for you!

With so many locations all around Singapore, you do not have to worry about travelling so far to this place!

If I have to do Girl Math for you, just grab a cup of coffee and a snack every hour to make your money worth it! In comparison, buying a $7 coffee from Starbucks is basically 3 hours in this workspace, so you technically have 3 hours free to study here instead!

Other than Girl Math, this is a good spot for those who want to focus on their finals or for those who are looking for an outdoor space for meetings. Spatial Collective is the one for you!
